Shilpa always loved music and grew up listening to a variety of genres, yet had little to do with actual musical performance. However, her motivation to begin recording covers and sharing them with the world via the internet came with the release of renowned rapper and hip-hop producer Timbaland's album Shock Value, particularly his interpretation of the band OneRepublic's song "Apologize." Shilpa convinced herself that when Timbaland's remix hit number one on the music charts, that she would allow herself to share her own singing talents and guitar-playing with the world.

And that's only the beginning. With the support of friends, family, and fans, Shilpa Narayan is ready to use her current Youtube fame to take her career to the next level. Now based out of New York City, Shilpa plans to use inspiration from the likes of favorites such as OneRepublic, Aqualung, Ne-Yo, and Death Cab for Cutie to hone her guitar-playing and singing, while beginning to work on composing her own acoustic songs.
