Teen Rock Band SIX VOLT to Perform FREE, Live Concert at the Montgomery Mall

DOYLESTOWN, PA, August 08, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Montgomery Mall is proud to announce that it will be a stop on the popular "Youth Rock Live!" music tour. Teen rock band SIX VOLT will headline the tour which will stop at the mall on Friday, August 27 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. for a FREE, live performance.

"SIX VOLT is a critically acclaimed band comprised of talented and young musicians from the tri-state area who are popular with our teen shoppers" said Kirsten Boettcher, Montgomery Mall Marketing Manager. "The mall is pleased to be a stop on the Youth Rock Live! Tour and entertain area teens and their families while providing them with a free, fun way to spend their Friday night."

SIX VOLT, a teen band from Red Bank, N.J., includes members Nichole Deppe (Vocals), Granger Whitelaw, Jr. (Guitar), Joe Cilento (Guitar), Jake Wood (Bass), and Robby Webb (Drums). Their self-titled first album will be released on September 14. The band's highly acclaimed single "Mind on Me" was released in June and is available for purchase through iTunes. In addition to SIX VOLT's growing popularity, they have been recognized for their charitable spirit. Five percent of the band's income goes to the homeless and causes that help the environment.

Whitney Kelly, also a New Jersey native, will open for SIX VOLT. "I am excited to be a part of this tour and play my music in front of so many fans," says Kelly. "With thousands of followers on YouTube.com, Facebook and MySpace, the tour will give me a chance to meet many of them while working with a great band, for a good cause." Kelly recently completed a music video with Jake T. Austin from Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place for her original song "Watching Over You."

The 22-city tour is presented by Simon Property Group, Shuffleboard Records, and The Youth Arts Forum. Paul Reed Smith Guitars, (www.prsguitars.com) has also joined the tour as a sponsor and will be giving away one PRS SE model guitar to a lucky fan at each of their 22 Simon Mall shows.
